Played with some plant dyeing today! A friend in my reenactment group and I are doing a collaborative project wherein I will be weaving a belt for her with hand dyed wool. Today we did woad dying, and next up will be weld (yellow) and madder (red). We tried to get some different shades. I'm very happy with the results. At least one of these will be re-dyed in weld to make green. Looking forward to the next step!
